Superbowl Weekend Outing."

KSuper Bowl Weekend Outing has become one of the best loved outings of the year. It is a very free form outing. Just come up to Bishop and fish the Lower Owens River. We do have three regular scheduled activities this year and not just one stupendous special activity but two stupendous special activities.. First: those who are interested can meet Friday morning behind BBQ Bill's to get directions, pair up, or just say "Hello!". Second: another morning meet for those interested in pairing up. These morning meets are a great way to help our newer members get started on the Lower O.

Third: Saturday evening we plan to have the Bishop Country Club banquet room reserved for our group dinner.This year, we will once again offer the prime rib special dinner plus a range of selections from the 19th Hole salad and sandwich menu. You must select the prime rib dinner when registering to be assured of having it at dinner. And of course, there is the no host bar. Note that there is a $10 corkage fee if you bring your own wine, so if you bring it, make it worth while.

1st Stupendous Activity: We have again scheduled two on the water clinics with renowned guide David D'Beaupre on Friday and Saturday Mornings. Last year the clinics filled early and received rave reviews. Check out his website Sierra Trout Magnet, read his bio and check the fishing reports. then select this clinic for a memorable morning on the lower Owens River. This clinic must be paid for up front. You can pay online when registering or later, or send a check payable to SPFF to Bill Woods or pay at the December dinner meeting. Unpaid registrations as of January 11 may be canceled.

2nd Stupendous Activity: From the Facebook page of the Eastern Sierra Fishing Guide Association:

Sat. Feb. 6, 2016. The annual Owens River Clean Up is on again. Meet at Pleasant Valley Campground at 8am for coffee and pastries. Bring gloves and waders (if you have a pair). Lunch will be provided afterwards. Let's clean up this blue ribbon fishery.

Group Dinner is Saturday 6 PM at the Bishop Country Club 19th Hole. Please register here or RSVP to outings@spff.org.
