Fly Tying Class
If you have ever wondered how those flies we use to fish with are created, then come and check out our beginning fly tying class. Numerous well qualified club instructors will be ready to teach you how to tie simple basic patterns, and then advance into more difficult patterns. Each class session builds on what you'll have learned at the previous sessions, so it's important that you attend each class.
The classes are held at the Mount Aire Facility in Sylmar, at 12863 San Fernando Road on Wednesday evenings at 7p.m. We have tying vices, tools, and instructional books provided by SPFF for each student to borrow. The cost of the class is $50, which partially covers the costs of materials. The club pays the balance of the material costs. The class size is limited to12 students, so register NOW. The 2015 class dates are as follows: Jan.14, Jan. 28, Feb. 4, 11, 18, and 25th. If you would like more information, or want to register for the class, you can do so on our website or by contacting Steve Ebersold, the "education guy" at spff_ education or at 818 439-0556.
