SPFF Foundation - William L. Harry Scholarship

The Sierra Pacific Flyfishers Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting education and conservation efforts toward preserving the sport of flyfishing.  This organization is actively involved in educating the public on the positive aspects of conservation of our natural resources, a healthy environment, and respect for fresh and salt-water sport fishing. 

If you are a student seeking enrollment in a two or four year college program in the field of fisheries, natural resources, environmental sciences, forest resources, oceanography or a related field, we are offering an opportunity for a scholarship.

The Sierra Pacific Flyfishers Foundation is now accepting applications for the 2010 William L. Harry Scholarship. Three scholarship recipients will be chosen to receive a $1,000 scholarship. Applicants for this scholarship must be High School seniors graduating in June 2010 and enrolling in post secondary education.

 

Criteria ~ Applicant must:
  • Be a High School senior.
  • Have a minimum Grade Point Average of 3.0 and have passed the CAHSEE and successfully completed the required credits for graduation.
  • Submit an Official High School Transcript with the application.
  • Have been accepted and be enrolled at a two or four-year college or university in a program focusing on the above identified science field.
  • Complete and submit the SPFF Foundation Scholarship application and all required supporting documents no later than April 16, 2010.
