SPFF ‘s Annual Fly Tying Class will begin January, 2010. Members or guests who would like to learn how to tie their own flies are invited to attend. Michael Peratis will be filling as head instructor. The class is held on five consecutive Wednesdays from 7-9 P.M. An orientation meeting will be held on January 13, 2010. The Orientation will explain what tools we will be using and will give you a chance to ask any questions you may have about the classes. Then, starting January 27, 2010 thru February 24, 2010. The classes will be held at The Mount Aire Facility at 12863 San Fernando Road, Sylmar, Ca. The cost of the classes in the past has been around $80-$100 for the materials and the students had to purchase their own vise and tying tools. This year we are offering a great deal. The material cost will be around $30 and the Federation of Fly Fishers (FFF) is lending us the vises and tools for free. Don’t miss out on this great opportunity to learn how to tie your own flies. The last day for signing up is January 15th.
